Hehehehehe....you are running extremely rich. Have you gotten a check engine light or any codes on the ecu?? My suggestions would be to replace the O2 sensor and do a full tuneup on the motor. New plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, coolant flush while your at it, and run a bottle of injector cleaner through it just for good measure. Also disconnect the cat from the rest of the exhaus and see if it is clogged. Running really rich can sometimes cause them to clog up. frown Your motor is probably just in need of a good tuneup. smile

It could be the water temperature sensor. I know that sounds odd, but that's what happened to my girlfriend's car this past summer. It was telling the computer that the car was cold, so it was running rich to compensate. It ran so rich it hardly drove, and blew black smoke everywhere, that would stain a driveway if it sat in one place. $10 later it was good as new.

    Did you get any codes???

Where is my ECU? how do i check it? And i just got brand new plugs, wires, distributor, distributor cap, and oil change, so i dun think it would be any of those.... How much is a new CAT? how much is a new O2 Sensor? Oh, and i dun think its the temperature thing cause my car warms up like it supossed to and the needle goes up and its all fine....

I posted this on a differennt post also so you might have seen it...

check under the passenger seat footwell, with the key at on you should see a red led blinking.count the blinks and Heres the page for the code list. http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/F.A.Q/F.A.Q..htm

A new o2 sensor was about 45 bucks i think...

I'm not too sure about your car, but her car had two temp sensors, one for the gauge, one for the computer... I hope it works out for you. Good luck!
